Get Involved

There are lots of ways for you to get involved if you are concerned about the future of Amador County's waterways.

  • We need your attendance and support at water agency meetings, city council meetings for Jackson, Sutter Creek and Plymouth, Board of Supervisors meetings, and court hearings (notified by our email list).

  • Talk about this issue. Many people do not know the potential impact of the dewatering of the Amador Canal, and the impact of the pipeline project on water rates. Explain to them what you know, tell them about our website, and ask them to tell their friends!

  • Write letters to the editor of the Amador Ledger Dispatch or to your city council or supervisor expressing your concern.

    Email Jackson City Council

    Email Sutter Creek City Council

    Email Plymouth Council

    Contact the Board of Supervisors

    Email Ledger-Dispatch Editor

  • If you are a resident, vote in local elections. Educate yourself about what the candidates stand for, and exercise your right to elect officials who have Amador's best interests at heart.

  • Become a member of PHAW. It's free, and we can always use your help with donated services, time, or organizational support.
